Aaron - aged 15
Inhalers: Ventolin

Aaron suffered from mild asthma but quite severe eczema. By the end of the course he didn't need his inhaler and his eczema was starting to clear up.
His mother said she was, "Very impressed with Aaron's improvement."

Nicky - aged 12
Nebuliser: Ventolin
Inhalers: Seretide, Ventolin
Tablets: Singulair

Nicky had very severe asthma and was regularly hospitalised three or four times a year. He loved football but couldn't play because of his illness.

By the end of the course, Nicky didn't need any Serevent and was taking only Flixotide and Singulair with a little Ventolin when needed. According to his Mum, Karen, he was more positive, less aggressive and finally had control of his asthma.

In the two years since the course, Nicky hasn't been to hospital once, despite getting colds and the occasional bad chest infection, for which he is treated with antibiotics. He has the support of his doctor who says it's "marvellous" and encourages him to keep it up.

Nicky has grown and is still a keen footballer. He's now down to one, non-steroid, Singulair tablet a day.

Dominic - aged 5
Inhalers: Seretide and Ventolin

Dominic suffered from asthma, very severe hay fever and dry, itchy skin.

By the end of the course he was taking just Becotide. After a few months, Dominic didn't need any medication at all.

"I don't rub my eyes now," he told me and his mother added, "It's a different life."
